The National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC) recently revised and updated the Standards for Adult Immunization Practice to reflect the important role that ALL healthcare professionals play in ensuring that adults are getting the vaccines they need.

Immunize Nevada Launches Pilot Text4baby Project to Connect Nevada Resources with Moms

RENO, Nev. (March 19, 2013) – Immunize Nevada and the Nevada State Maternal and Child Health Division are partnering with text4baby to test a resource module targeting pregnant women and new mothers. Through the convenience of texting, pregnant women and new mothers can receive immunization information, personalized appointment reminders, health alerts, and nutrition advice in the palm of their hand.

Free Churchill County Childhood Immunization Clinic

The Nevada State Health Division will offer free childhood immunizations for newborns to children up to six years old.  All recommended childhood immunizations will be available. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Awards Immunize Nevada $20,000 Grant for Influenza Education and Outreach

RENO, Nev. (November 21, 2012)—Immunize Nevada, a statewide nonprofit network of individuals, businesses, public health entities and organizations committed to improving immunization rates in Nevada, was awarded a $20,000 grant from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. The grant allows Immunize Nevada to extend its annual influenza outreach to seniors throughout the state.

Free Flu and Tdap Immunizations at School Located Clinics

Immunize Nevada, Washoe County Health District and Washoe County School District are partnering to provide students with free flu and Tdap vaccinations this fall beginning Tuesday, October 9.
