Intern at Immunize Nevada

Immunize Nevada hosts student interns year-round. In 2018 we hosted 24 undergraduate and 2 graduate interns statewide, who collectively completed over 2,600 hours. Internship projects change frequently depending on the semester and current Immunize Nevada projects. As a certified Service Enterprise organization, we do our best accommodate student interests when assigning projects.

2018 intern projects included:

  • Organizing and attending school located vaccine clinics in Washoe County during the Fall
  • Promoting and creating content for the Healthy Young NV website
  • Organizing community immunization events
  • Developing educational presentations intended for community audiences
  • Creating healthcare provider surveys and evaluating programs

As an intern with Immunize Nevada, students are immersed in our mission-focused and team-orientated environment. Skills developed during an internship term include: professional communication, experience in an office environment, project management, and interpersonal health communication.
