Recently Released Immunization Survey Shines Light on Nevada’s Teen Immunization Rates

The 2018 NIS-Teen Survey highlights a positive trend: Nevada teen males who are up-to-date on the HPV vaccination series increased by 7.4 percentage points compared to 2017 rates. However, HPV vaccination rates among females displayed a downward trend; Nevada teen females who are up-to-date on the HPV vaccination series decreased by 3.5 percentage points.

The Rotary Club of Reno Centennial Sunset and Immunize Nevada celebrate Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate Polio worldwide by hosting its 10th Annual Polio Purple Pinkie Trail Run/Walk at the beautiful trails around Washoe County’s Rancho San Rafael Park on May 4, 2019 at 10:00 am. Don’t Throw Away Your (MenB) Shot!

Long story short, my son got his MenB vaccine while on summer vacation. Not exactly on his bucket list of fun things to do, but he did get to relax at the pool; and I got to relax knowing he was on his way to being fully protected against meningococcal disease!
