The Advocacy Committee promotes immunization best practices by monitoring current policies and researching effective public policy strategies. This committee identifies and advances solutions to challenges in Nevada’s vaccine financing, access and delivery system. Responsibilies may include:
Developing position statements on current issues to share with legislators
Tracking relevant legislation/regulations that affect immunization and access to health care
Increasing stakeholder’s capacity to be advocates
Developing a statewide system for media advocacy

Immunize Nevada is currently recruiting members for our Adult Immunization Task Force. We have a variety of opportunities to participate in this new statewide initiative to increase adult vaccination rates. In addition to the larger task force, opportuniities are available for the following groups to be involved:
–Community Health Centers and Health Districts
–Pharmacies
–Large Healthcare Systems
–Nonprofit, Community and Faith-based
