Who Can Race?

Social groups and businesses alike embrace the sport of dragon boating as it builds camaraderie and a sense of “team” through participation in the sport. Dragon boat teams are created from local organizations and special interest groups, while others are just teams of family and friends looking for a fun activity outdoors! No experience is necessary and all shapes, sizes and physical abilities can paddle. The festival promotes health and wellness, community engagement, and team building.

  • Breaks down barriers between people, inspiring positive communication as teammates cheer each other on
  • Encourages employee mental and physical health through a commitment to fitness and each other
  • Fosters a collective feeling of pride and accomplishment after teams complete a race
  • A change in environment is helpful to renew energy and creativity, boosting productivity upon returning to the workplace
