2012 Nevada Health Conference: A Focus on Immunizations and MCH

COURSE INFORMATION
Join Immunize Nevada and the Maternal and Child Health Coalition for an energizing conference where healthcare providers and professionals from throughout Nevada and the region will have the opportunity to receive continuing education credits during plenary and concurrent sessions. Featuring regional and national experts, the 2012 Nevada Health Conference seeks to improve public health as a whole by encouraging collaboration and partnerships in promoting maternal and child health, and the fight against vaccine-preventable diseases.


Topics Include:
1.  Tools for educating patients and techniques for increasing preventive healthcare rates within any setting, provider office or clinic.
2.  In-depth issues related to improving the health of women, children and families including Bright Futures well-child care, children’s preventive care and other emerging issues in maternal child health.
3.  Current information and updates on immunization strategies and advances for improving immunization rates, enhancements in immunization technology, regional and national immunization trends and best practices, and much more.

Please note – The 2012 Nevada Health Conference is taking the place of the annual Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPD) Conference. Due to travel budget cuts, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will not be presenting at this year’s conference as in years past. SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for the 2012 Nevada Health Conference are now available through Immunize Nevada. The number of scholarships available are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. Each scholarship will cover airfare, 2 night hotel stay and early-bird conference fees. Recipients will have to cover the cost of ground transportation (taxi, etc.) and food that is not offered as part of the conference. Recipients will be reimbursed for airfare expense after completion of the conference. All scholarship applications must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 7.

EXHIBITOR/SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Join Immunize Nevada and the Maternal and Child Health Coalition as an exhibitor/sponsor at this year’s conference. The annual conference is a great avenue to directly interact with your target audience and present resource materials that will benefit all attendees. Exhibitor/sponsor levels start at $150 and it’s as easy as filling out this one page form.


ACCOMMODATIONS
Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas; minutes from the famous Las Vegas strip, the Tuscany Suites & Casino is the host site for the 2012 Nevada Health Conference. In order to reserve your room at the special conference rate of $45 per night simply call the hotel directly at 1-877-887-2261 and ask for the 2012 Nevada Health Conference group rate. In order to secure a conference- blocked room and at the conference rate, you must book your room on or prior to noon on October 1, 2012.  Reservations made after October 1 will only be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. Those wishing to extend their stay beyond November 2 will receive a special rate of $85 per night through the weekend.
