Immunization Best Practices for Medical Assistants Training Course

This five-hour training course teaches medical assistants the most current methods of safe immunizations, updated vaccine information and hands on training for vaccine administration.

Target Audience:
Medical assistants currently administering vaccinations in a clinical setting

Featured Presenter:
Janet Ford, RN, BSN
1. Experienced speaker with more than 40 presentations given throughout the west
2. 15 years experience in public health
3. Ten years experience as an immunization program coordinator

Participants will learn:
1. Correct schedule and timing for childhood vaccination
2. Valid contraindications and precautions for vaccination
3. Useful methods for communicating vaccine benefits and risks to parents
4. Proper vaccine administration techniques
5. Proper storage and handling of vaccines
6. Reliable resources for vaccine information

Participants will receive:
1. Informational and useful learning tools
2. Hands-on experience
3. Certificate of completion
