We're hiring an AmeriCorps VISTA Member who will be primarily responsible for leading the School-Based Immunization Outreach Project. The goal of this project is to educate school-age children and their families on school required and CDC recommended vaccines and how to access them in southern Nevada. The VISTA will identify and coordinate education, outreach and events to best reach school age children and their parents, including coordination of on-site vaccine clinics at schools.

• Essential tasks and duties
  1. Plan outreach and education opportunities at assigned schools to educate parents and students on vaccines.
  2. Conduct outreach and education at school sites with parents and children.
  3. Provide information and resources to school faculty and staff to help remove barriers to accessing vaccines.
  4. Connect with local partners to plan and implement vaccines clinics at schools.
  5. Compile reports on outreach and education to track impact.
