In today’s economy more families are utilizing free resources and services to help alleviate the burden of additional household expenses. As a result of this increased need, Immunize Nevada, Safe Kids Washoe County, Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and the Sun Valley Family Resource Center are bringing the annual Give Kids a Boost: Health and Safety Fair to Sun Valley and Reno. Families throughout Washoe County will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on health, safety and educational activities offered by many community organizations. As part of Give Kids a Boost, free back-to-school immunizations will be available through the Washoe County Health District for kids age 4 and up. Booster seats from REMSA’s Point of Impact program will also be handed out along with other safety gear from Safe Kids Washoe County. Check out the event flyer in English or Spanish.
