Immunization Awareness Organization Announces New Name and Staff
Reno, Nev. (Dec. 13, 2010)—The Nevada Immunization Coalition, a statewide nonprofit organization committed to improving and protecting the health of Nevadans, has changed its name to better communicate its purpose and mission. The organization, now called Immunize Nevada, continues to focus on statewide immunization outreach, education and advocacy, as well as promote health and prevent the incidences of vaccine preventable diseases through community partnerships. (Dec. 2, 2010)—As the 2010-2011 flu season hits its peak Immunize Nevada, a statewide nonprofit organization committed to improving and protecting the health of Nevadans, will be in Elko December 6, Reno December 8, and Las Vegas December 9 to offer free vaccination administration training for medical assistants. to Support School-Based Flu Clinics
Reno, NV (Nov. 17, 2010) – With flu clinics successfully implemented at two Washoe County elementary schools, the Washoe County School District, Northern Nevada Immunization Coalition (NNIC) and the Washoe County Health District anticipate the final clinic to go off without a hitch. More than 470 school children and staff members from Sierra Vista and Alice Maxwell took advantage of free flu vaccinations during the week of Nov. 8.
