Join Immunize Nevada for a one-hour course highlighting Vaccine Storage and Handling. In light of the recent national coverage regarding improper vaccine storage and handling, the July webinar will focus on the safety and guidelines for proper vaccine handling. We encourage all provider offices, office managers, supervisors, nurses, medical assistants and vaccine coordinators to participate in this FREE webinar. Participants will learn how to implement vaccine safety guidelines, properly store immunizations, maintain the cold chain, select appropriate storage units, document temperatures and improve vaccine safety in the office.
Featured Presenters:
Tina Vesely, R.N., the clinic services manager for Immunize Nevada, holds more than 19 years of nursing experience in various fields of practice. Tina has been involved with the immunization coalition for more than 10 years, and joined the Immunize Nevada staff in July 2011. Prior to joining Immunize Nevada, Tina worked at Saint Mary's Medical Center for 17 years where she delved into an array of nursing-related jobs and projects including managing, coordinating and administering VFC vaccines; responsibility for OSHA regulated Corporate Immunization programs as well as Blood-borne Pathogen trainings and NRS compliance for police and fire personnel; and providing nursing care to at risk populations, including vaccinations in the Mission Services department.
