What:    
The Nevada State Health Division will offer free childhood immunizations for newborns to children up to six years old.  All recommended childhood immunizations will be available. Also, a limited number of free flu vaccine will also be available from Walgreens for adults and children nine and older.

On Monday, February 4, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Immunize Nevada and the Washoe County Health District will be offering a free flu clinic for children, 6-months old to 18 years old with Medicaid, Nevada Check-up, private insurance that doesn’t cover vaccine, uninsured and American Indian/Alaskan Native. Flu vaccinations will be available on a first come, first serve basis in limited quantities to adult and children with private insurance.

RENO, Nev. (November 21, 2012)—Immunize Nevada, a statewide nonprofit network of individuals, businesses, public health entities and organizations committed to improving immunization rates in Nevada, was awarded a $20,000 grant from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. The grant allows Immunize Nevada to extend its annual influenza outreach to seniors throughout the state.

Immunize Nevada, Washoe County Health District and Washoe County School District are partnering to provide students with free flu and Tdap vaccinations this fall beginning Tuesday, October 9. Clinics will be held primarily in elementary schools and middle schools with 6th grade students..... (see the news story here)

SNIHC and its partners will sponsor back-to-school immunization clinics through August 25 to help families meet Nevada’s immunization requirements for school entry, and prepare kids for the coming school year.
