Immunize Nevada offers northern Nevadans a chance to see the highly praised documentary, Invisible Threat . This powerful documentary on vaccines focuses on understanding the science of vaccination and the misconceptions causing parents to delay or decline immunizations. Following the film will be a discussion panel of local public health experts discussing the film and vaccines
Panel experts include: Trudy Larson, MD, Director of the School of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada; Andrew Pasternak, MD at Silver Sage Center for Family Medicine; Steve Kutz, RN, MPH, Division Director, Community and Clinical Health Services, Washoe County Health District; and, Jenny Durnan Petty, Reno Moms Blog co-founder and mother of two children.Invisible Threat also aims to educate and promote the use of vaccines through personal testimonials.
