Get Schooled about Flu!

The Northern Nevada Immunization Coalition invites you to celebrate National Influenza Vaccination Week and join us for a free, informative day all about the flu! Included in the day are nationally known guest speakers, networking with colleagues, hosted lunch and mileage reimbursement. Health care professionals, nurses, public health staff, medical assistants, students and more are encouraged to attend.

Directions:

The Center is located on the east side of Oats Park, four blocks east of the junction of Highways 50 and 95.

From Reno and points west: I-80 East to Fernley, approximately 34 miles, take exit 48, following signs to US 50 East/Fallon. After ~25 miles you’ll enter Fallon and come to a signal at US 50 and Maine Street with the old courthouse on your left. Continue four blocks further east to West Park Street, turn right, go one block, turn left. The Center is the large red-brick building at the end of the parking lot.

From Elko and points east: I-80 West to Lovelock continuing ~20 miles further west to US 95 South exit to Fallon/Las Vegas. After ~30 miles you’ll enter Fallon and come to a single at Maine Street and US 50 (Williams Avenue). Turn left, go four blocks to West Park Street turn right, go one block, turn left. The Center is the large red-brick building at the end of the parking lot.

The arts center is housed in the 1914 Oats Park School, designed by Frederick DeLongchamps, a prominent Reno architect and is on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places. In the Oats Park Arts Center's three museum-style galleries, rotating exhibits include paintings, photographs, and sculpture by artists from Nevada and neighboring states. The art center also includes the Art Bar and ChArts Store.
