County-Specific COVID-19 Vaccine Sites

Every Nevadan 12+ is eligible to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine. Below is a list of vaccine sites in your county. You can also search by pharmacy or by clinic date. If you are scheduling a vaccine for someone 12-17 years old, confirm the site offers the Pfizer vaccine, as that is currently the only vaccine authorized for that age. Note: The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require a 2nd dose 21-28 days later.

The Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccine & testing clinic for those 12+ with the Janssen, Moderna & Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, every Monday & Thursday

Carson City County Veterans are advised that they may be served by the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System 

  • VASNHCS has expanded vaccinations to ALL veterans, their spouses, eligible caregivers and CHAMPVA beneficiaries. If you meet the SAVE LIVES Act criteria, your local VA medical center is offering COVID-19 vaccines on a first come, first serve basis, dependent on vaccine availability.
  • If you are a Veteran not yet enrolled, although not required, it is helpful if you bring your DD-214 (separation papers) with you.
  • Please come to your local VA medical center to complete the initial paperwork and receive your vaccine. Please note that IF vaccine sessions are filled on a day you walk in, we will schedule you for the soonest appointment that accommodates your calendar

Carson City County Pharmacy locations providing COVID-19 Vaccines:

Currently the only COVID-19 vaccine authorized for use in individual ages 12-17 is the Pfizer vaccine.  Janssen and Moderna are not authorized for use in those under the age of 18 at this time.

At this time, no Walgreens locations in Carson City county are stocking the Pfizer vaccine, but do have other COVID-19 vaccines available.  Walgreens at 1342 US Highway 395 is currently offering extended hours in their pharmacy and will be open from 9am-10pm.

Nevada Health Centers is currently offering COVID-19 vaccines to individuals who meet the eligibility requirements. Vaccine supply is limited, and appointments for eligible individuals will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be prepared to show proof of age and/or occupation prior to receiving the vaccine.

  • The vaccine to be provided may require two (2) doses. If a second dose is required, the initial vaccination date will have a second vaccination date 21 or 28 days later which you will be required to return to receive the second dose.
  • The location where you received your first dose will send you information regarding your second dose.
  • Any individual that is currently sick or under isolation or quarantine for COVID-19 are not eligible to receive the vaccine until they are symptom-free and/or released based on CDC guidelines.   
  • It is best practice to wait for 15 minutes after your vaccination before leaving the vaccination site.
  • Please wear clothing that allows quick and easy access to the upper arm.

Churchill County

Churchill County is administering free vaccines to all Nevadans 18+ at the county fairgrounds. Those using the fairgrounds should enter off of Miners Road off Highway 95 south. All Sheckler entrances will be closed. No appointment necessary, vaccines available on a first come, first served basis as long as supplies allow.

  • Nevadans 18+. Currently the only COVID-19 vaccine authorized for use in individual ages 12-17 is the Pfizer vaccine. Janssen and Moderna are not authorized for use in those under the age of 18 at this time.
  • At this time, Churchill County not administering to anyone under the age of 18.

Please remember to bring the following required documents to your appointment:

  • Appointment confirmation email
  • Photo ID

Other important reminders:

  • The vaccine to be provided may require two (2) doses. If a second does is required, the initial vaccination date will have a second vaccination date 21 or 28 days later which you will be required to return to receive the second dose.
  • The location where you received your first dose will send you information regarding your second dose.
  • Any individual that is currently sick or under isolation or quarantine for COVID-19 is not eligible to receive the vaccine until they are symptom-free and/or released based on CDC guidelines.   
  • It is best practice to wait for 15 minutes after your vaccination before leaving the vaccination site.
  • Please wear clothing that allows quick and easy access to the upper arm.
  • Expect to wait. Due to high patient volume, wait times may vary.
